Offploy Awarded Prestigious Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award

We are thrilled at the announcement that Offploy has been honoured with the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award.

This prestigious accolade recognises our unwavering commitment to supporting veterans, reservists, and adult cadet force volunteers within our workforce and the wider community. The Gold Award is the highest recognition possible under the ERS, marking a significant milestone in our journey as a dedicated supporter of the Armed Forces community.

The ERS Gold Award is a distinguished honour bestowed by the Ministry of Defence to employers who demonstrate outstanding support for those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. This award is reserved for a select group of organisations that have not only signed the Armed Forces Covenant but have also successfully progressed through the Bronze and Silver Awards.

To achieve Gold, organisations must provide an exceptional level of support, going above and beyond the commitments outlined in the Armed Forces Covenant. This includes demonstrating a proactive approach to employing veterans, offering flexibility for reservists, and supporting adult cadet force volunteers.

At Offploy, our mission is to make the world a safer and more inclusive place by supporting individuals who face significant barriers to employment, including those with a military background. We understand the unique skills and experiences that veterans, reservists, and adult cadet force volunteers bring to the workforce, and we are committed to providing them with the opportunities and support they deserve.

Since signing the Armed Forces Covenant, we have made it a priority to create a working environment that is supportive and flexible. This includes offering additional paid leave for reservists to fulfil their training commitments, ensuring that veterans are considered for roles that align with their skills, and actively promoting the value of military experience within our organisation.

Our journey to achieving the ERS Gold Award began with the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant, a pledge that demonstrates our commitment to supporting those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. This was followed by our successful attainment of the Bronze Award, which recognised our initial efforts to build a supportive environment for military personnel.

Building on this foundation, we were awarded the Silver Award, reflecting our progress in implementing best practices for supporting reservists, veterans, and their families. Achieving the Gold Award is the culmination of years of dedicated effort, and it recognises that Offploy is not just meeting the standard, but leading the way in supporting the Armed Forces community.

Receiving the ERS Gold Award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at Offploy. It highlights our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where the unique skills and experiences of military personnel are recognised and valued. The award also reinforces our role as a national leader in the social enterprise sector, setting an example for other organisations to follow.

Offploy Founder and MD, Jacob Hill said, "Receiving the Gold Award is an immense honour for Offploy. We are incredibly proud of our veteran colleagues and our strong connection with the RAF reservists of 609 (West Riding) Squadron.

This recognition highlights our commitment to supporting those who have served our country, and we will continue to champion their invaluable contributions within our organisation."
